Our Heart for kids
At Ridgway Community Church, we believe children are deeply cherished by Jesus—and they are cherished by us.
Church is often a child’s very first impression of Christ, Scripture, and Christian community. Our mission is to partner with families to cultivate a safe, joyful space where children can hear the Gospel, grow in understanding, and develop an authentic, heart-transforming faith.
What to Expect on Sunday Mornings
A Welcoming Environment for Families
Whether your morning went smoothly or you’re running late and feeling a bit disheveled—you are welcome here. There is no shame, stress, or judgment. Families are encouraged to engage in church life in the way that best serves them:
- In the Main Service: We love having children worship alongside their families!
- In Ridgway Kids: We offer age-appropriate teaching, fun crafts, snacks, and discipleship designed specifically for your child’s level of understanding.
How We Teach & Disciple
- Biblically Grounded Curriculum: We walk through God’s big story using engaging, Christ-centered curriculum (like The Biggest Story) to connect the entire Bible back to Jesus.
- Music Ministry: Ms. Diane leads the kids in worship through songs about Jesus. She cultivates a space to grow in music in a children’s choir format.
- Called & Dedicated Leaders: We take the biblical calling of teaching seriously (James 3:1; Titus). Our volunteers are committed to speaking truth in love and walking alongside each child relationally.
